Shopper is mildly inconvenienced after receiving two old pound coins in her change

The old pound coins ceased to be legal tender land week, but its hardly a surprise that there are still millions of the things in circulation.

And that means that you shouldn’t be too surprised if one or two end up in your pocket.

Or, you could just lose your mind and go to the paper.

Sheffield Star: Shopper left fuming after receiving two old pound coins in her change

Things you can do when you end up with some out-of-date pound coins in your change:

  1. Take them to your nearest bank, who will be happy to change them for new pound coins
  2. Give them to charity, who will then take them to a bank and the charity gets £££s and everybody is happy
  3. Go to the paper because you are FUMMIN

Because she is FUMMIN, she has done step three. Well done.

We’d go as far as saying that this change to the new pound coins has really brought out the best in people.

Bristol Post: Patient left FUMMIN after hospital car park refuses to take old pound coins a week before they cease being legal tender

Hospital car parks being the place most likely to leave people FUMMIN, because they already don’t want to pay to leave their cars when they’re ill or visiting a sick relative.

And also because hospital car parks are run by complete and utter bastards.

And also, you’ve had five months to get rid of your old pound coins.

So everybody’s a loser, then.
