Residents at new estate have gone months without a phone


Back in the day, you had to write to the Post Office and they’d consider your application to have a telephone in your home.

It was done on a Strictly No Riff-raff basis.

Now they let just anybody have a phone line, and look where it’s got us.

I can see your problem guys, you haven’t plugged it in.

Also, we’re amazed that people still want land lines, as they’re only ever used today be people pretending to be the Microsoft help desk.

Once you get a phone line installed, you’re obviously going to want to head back to the 1970s an insist on a phone book as well.
