APILN teams up with Eagle Radio for the Secret Santa appeal

We at the Satirists’ Secret Santa appeal are amazed at your generosity, with over 5,500 gifts donated to children around the UK.

That’s over £43,000 raised to give the kiddiewinks a happy Christmas.

And now we’re helping kids in the EAGLE RADIO area.

We teamed up with the Newsthump, Southend News Network and Rochdale Herald comedy websites to bring Christmas to children around the country who would otherwise have missed out.

They include children living in poverty, children in care, kids who are waiting to be adopted and children who have fled domestic violence with their mothers and are hiding women’s refuges.

And we’re pleased to announce that we’ve joined forces with Eagle Radio in Guildford to help kids in Surrey and Hampshire.

The Eagle Radio Toy Appeal is collecting toys for children in Guildford, Aldershot, Farnborough, Woking, Alton, Hook and Camberley. And also Fleet, which is where I live.

You can be sure that your gift will end up in a very thankful pair of hands.

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

  • All you need to do is go to SATIREAID.CO.UK, choose a present from the Amazon Wish List, and have it sent to one of the charity addresses you’ll find in the delivery options.
  • That’s it!

The list is large and varied, and there are presents for older teenagers (who tend to be missed out in these appeals) as well as young kids.

What if I don’t do Amazon?

If you don’t do Amazon, why not buy a couple of Christmas selection boxes and drop them off in your local supermarket’s foodbank collection bin?

Or just be nice. Being nice is good.

And here’s what happened last year when Eagle Radio visited Frimley Park Hospital. I like Frimley Park, they fixed me up good when I needed them.
